Oil massage is very beneficial for the general health of the hair and it also helps to prevent hair fall. It is good to massage our hair with oil once in a week. Oiling our hair helps to soften it and make it more manageable. It helps to improve blood circulation, lubricates our hair and prevents spit ends. Oiling our hair regularly also conditions our hair and strengthens the root. People with dry hair should oil their hair twice a week as it help in preventing dryness of hair and split ends.
How to apply the oil: Take required amount of oil depending on the length and thickness of your hair and warm it lightly.
Make partitions in your hair. Dip your finger tips in warm oil, apply to your scalp and gently massage in circular motion. Allow it to soak for an hour and then wash it well with a good herbal shampoo or shikakai.
